Features as part of Solutions

The Program Backlog is a space to hold the upcoming features. Throughout the Agile Release Train, features that are in backlog, address the needs of users and deliver benefits to the business. Just like Program Backlog, there is also a Solution Backlog or simply called ‘Solution’ that exists.

All the features that are approved are held by the Solution Backlog.The Program and solution Kanban systems manage these backlog items. This provides the visibility to manage the flow of the work.

An epic/ task travel from ‘idea funnel’ and ‘analyzing’ stages. In the process, the prioritized features that are approved, move to the ‘backlog’. Feature waits in the backlog state until it’s moved to the implementation state. Once the feature reaches implementation state, the solution manager accepts them to check whether their functionality fits the purpose.
