Adding a Feature in Prakya

Adding a Feature

There are two ways to add Features for an Epic.

  • By using Quick Add Icon and
  • By using the Add Feature button in the features section of Epic Details View

 By using Quick Add icon 

  1. Click on the ‘+’ icon on the top most bar in the DashBoard

  2. Select the option to add ‘New Feature’

 3. Fill in the details associated with the feature that needs to be added. Refer to Screenshot – 3 below for details.

   4. Select the Solution to which the new feature is being added. By default the solution for which the new feature is being added will be highlighted. However, Prakya allows you to choose a different solution as well. 

   5. Click on the ‘Save’ button once step 4 is finished.

By using Feature Tab of Epic Details View

  1. From the side bar menu click on ‘Epics’ and click on the drop down list of Current Epics

  1. Choose any Epic from the list of Current Epics for which a new ‘Feature’ is to be added. This brings up the Epic details view. Navigate to the Features section.

  1. Click on ‘Add Feature’. This brings up the Add Feature/Enabler screen.  Fill in the necessary details. Refer to screenshot – 6 below.

  1. In case the form doesn’t show the solution in the Solution box, then  it means the solution hasn’t been created yet. In such a case, the solution needs to be created to associate with the feature. Please refer to “Solutions Help Section” for details on how to create a solution.
  2. Click on the ‘Save’ button to save and ‘Cancel’ button to discard any changes made. This will close the Features dialog and all the features that are created will get displayed under the ‘Features’ tab.
